Our Story
RLeagueZ began as a passion project in 2008, founded by Chris Catto, whose journey in software development started in childhood under his father's guidance.
At just ten years old, Chris' passion grew as he developed his first sports-related database to track tennis matches, complete with scores and strategic notesโa foundation that would later influence RLeagueZ's development. His brother Ed who at the time played a pivotal role in organizing the City Tennis Tournament, where he led a small team through the intricate process of creating brackets for various age groups and tournament categories. With papers of hand drawn brackets spread across the dinner table, young Chris gained hands-on experience managing complex bracket systems and understanding the nuances of seeding arrangements. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into tournament management and logistics.
This early exposure to both technology and sports organization fostered a lifelong passion for creating innovative solutions for sports management, leading to the comprehensive platform that RLeagueZ is today.
